Looking to purchase origami models

Hi, I am neither an origami artist nor an enthusiast; I have absolutely zero knowledge about what this paper art is all about. My wife is an artist; she paints, sculpts and also has a binding interest towards origami. She loves to explore different art forms and further educate herself about it. Origami was her companion before I entered her life and with the time she spends making origami designs, it's not a surprise that I'm kind of envious of it.

Anyways, coming to the point, her birthday is a month away and I'm looking to surprise her with an origami paradise. I'm not sure if that's the right context, but what I intend to do is fill our room with different origami designs. I'm sure that will get her jumping with excitement.

As I have mentioned above, origami is Greek and Latin and though I may be her doting husband, I have no intentions to learn origami and surprise her with my skills. So I'm looking out for suggestions as to where could I purchase origami products from. As I mentioned, this is for a birthday gift for my wife, so I'm looking out for the good stuff, price not a barrier.

Hey there StevenNicholas, I think you really love your wife but she is more into the art (no offense). Jokes apart, I really appreciate the efforts you are making in order to make your wife's birthday a day worth remembering. If you are looking for an online mode to buy origami models, then I would suggest that you should explore Etsy - https://www.etsy.com/in-en/search?q=origami%20models (here's the link to the page of origami models).

Trust me they offer a range of intricately crafted paper models that is by far some of the best origami designs I've seen. You can select the best out of the lot, the ones you feel would be ideal to decorate your room and surprise your wife.

I personally have brought many models and origami tools from this website. Take a look at this website before you make your decision on any other platform.

Not only Etsy, you can buy these models on Amazon as well at more reasonable prices. Do explore Amazon, they also provide a wide range of origami models.

Hi BraydonScott, thanks for your suggestion. I did search on Amazon but the only products they offer are origami tools, papers, books, etc. which are not going to help me in any way (like I said before, I'm not going to make it myself). If possible, please share the link to the page of an origami product that they're selling online.

Yes, you're right StevenNicholas. Amazon doesn't provide ready-made models of origami. I would suggest that you should stick to Etsy. It's an ideal shopping platform that houses magnificent origami designs and works to offer. You will be amazed with the wide range of options this site has to offer.

Advanced birthday wishes to your wife. I hope that you are able to startle your wife with an origami surprise. Don't forget to post your wife's reaction here.

Yes buddy, I've already visited Etsy and explored the stuff they have to offer. I haven't made the order as I want to explore more platforms before I take a final call. Leaving my options open for the moment. I will keep updating you'll with my preparations. Thanks a lot PhilipAlbert.

Hey StevenNicholas, I wish my husband had half of the dedication you have towards your wife. Anyways I do wish you arrange a good birthday surprise for your wife and I'm sure with the efforts you're putting in (ignoring your resistance to making origami yourself), she surely will be surprised in a good way.

Apart from the shopping websites, you can also keep an eye on websites or Facebook profiles of origami artists like Robert J Lang and Satoshi Kamiya. They usually sell off their wares through a personalized medium. You can contact them about the details on how you can buy their products.

You mentioned that your wife is an art lover, so what would be a better surprise for an artist other than to avail a masterpiece from another artist? They might be a little heavy on your pocket, but it's your wife's birthday, right? Think about it. You can thank me later.

Wishing your wife a very happy birthday!

Thank you carolinaharley, you have opened yet another door for me. I will definitely take this suggestion into consideration and check out for some famous origami artists online. In fact, I'm already convinced that this a way better option than buying from other online platforms. I wonder why I hadn't thought of this brilliant idea before.

Thank you everyone, for your guidance and help. I'm sure my wife would be equally grateful to you'll, it's just that it's a surprise and she's not aware of this conversation yet. So a big thank you from her side as well.
