Good Evening to all you successful paper folders out there!!! My name is Elaine and I am a 63 year old, try anything once, wannabe crafter. I am not successful at any of the crafts I have tried in the past, but I am not giving up. I know there is something out there that I can become proficient at--I just need to find it. I have always been interested in origami but it looks so complicated that I have resisted trying it.

As a child I remember my grandma having folded waxed paper ornaments that were used as decorations. She fancied them up with glitter. Fifty some years later I decided to try my hand at it. Since the star is the only thing I remember I started looking around to see what else might be out there and of course stumbled upon origami---and I figured it was time to give it a try.

I think part of my difficulty with various crafts is that I get discouraged easily and then give up. And part of my problem is that most crafts require money and a class or two. Origami does not seem to require either so I am willing to give it a try and stick to it. I plan to stay at the beginner level till I feel competent. With that said I am ready to go and accept any suggestions for success. So.....on my mark...get set .....go origami!!!!!
