One of the most useful, easy to find and affordable origami tools that I came across is chopsticks. They are great to create curled edges when we make decorative items like petal, flowers, small pockets, etc. They also work wonders as a paper folding tool. So if you don't have a bone folder, you can certainly use chopsticks as a cost-effective replacement.
