i have also been trying the money origami and finally mastered the "In God We Trust" one dollar cross. That was pretty tough and the folds won't stay down, so I tried wetting the bill then folding. It went better and after it dried I put it in my wallet. I'll look up the artist you mentioned.

Here is a picture of some of the little phone stands I've been making. I also use them for note pad holders and for pictures. I am enclosing a picture to share with you all. The picture of that silly cat is my cat Lucy who sits with me and helps..lol

Hi my fellow folders.... I have belonged to this group for awhile now and I have enjoyed it so much. I look forward to the daily digest and the list of things to try. I've tried a lot of them and some were great and some were not so great but I keep on trying. One of the things I see in today's digest is the cell phone stand. I tried it and on to some others while I was on you tube. I love this little one and have made so many I can do it by memory now. I also use it to put a notepad and pen on which is really handy. I use them to sit up pictures and whatever else I can try. I like it also because it can be folded flat and put in a pocket. There are so many amazing things to make with origami and I can get stuck on you tube for hours. I will celebrate my 78th birthday this year and stay at home a lot and find this good therapy. Thank you for the encouragement .

That is just the cutest little bag and so easy to make. Reminds me of folding the Origami cup. Someone had suggested putting snack in them which is a great idea. Going to get creative with this one. Wish it could stand up though.

i just made this Fidget Spinner and it was easy making it. I used 2 - 5x5 in squares and it was just the right size spinner for my hand. I also found some match sticks and a couple beads, whittled down the ends to fit in the beads and put it all together. This is such a fun thing and will make a few more and keep tutorial in my files. I'm a 77 year old Nana to 6 grown grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. We're going to have some fun..Thanks.

Once you get started it gets very addictive. yes, this is a great site. I usually go down the list and pick what I want to try and save the video. I tried the little dresses and watched the video so much I memorized it and can do them with no tutorial. I started with one , now I have 36..lol. I'm putting them on my handmade greeting cards. It is so amazing what can be folded ! I also like doing the little flowers amongst all the other things. I hope you do keep trying and reach your goal. I find it very relaxing. Welcome.

So very true. Will have to try the wallpaper for boxes too. I found that the vinyl coated wallpaper does not hold a fold very well,

What a great idea. It opens up a whole new level of creativeness. I agree wallpaper sample books are a good source. Can't use the wallpaper itself, but can copy the pattern and printing a different patter on each side of the paper we're making sounds interesting. Thanks for these ideas.

Talking about craft supplies, I also have lots of supplies which I have used on different projects but since I learned about Origami many years I have been doing it on and off. I have just lately gotten back into it and find it so relaxing and keeps my mind busy. Origami only requires paper, scissor and a glue stick plus time to watch the tutorials. Living on a fixed income doesn't allow the funds to buy a lot of extras. I find that I do them over and over until I get it right then make multiples of the same thing until I go on to another one. There is always something new to learn.
