I checked the site but it does not offer instructions for that particular envelope. The download they offer is for crochet patterns. I think it is folded from 4 circular pieces so I will see if I can't figure it out.

I was searching for some unusual origami prints and I was having difficulty finding the type i wanted so I dug around in my cache of fabrics and used my color copier to print my own paper. Copy paper is about the right for folding and I can get 8" squares out of each sheet or smaller. Old wallpaper sample books are another good source. The title should say "making your own printed origami paper". Sheesh!! Another cool thing is to print on both sides of the paper with differant designs. Anyone else do this?

Khatldt4, I agree. It's also pretty portable. I always have paper and I photocopy written instructions so I don't have to carry around a whole book. I dog sit with some of the neighbors dogs so I take origami and the pups and I sit out in the backyard and soak up the sun. I folded Roman Dias's german shepherd this Christmas for the neighbor who has one. It turned out really nice and they went crazy because it really looks like their dog. Nice to do something you love and give it away.

Wilmajean, i have spoken to the library and I volunteer at a food pantry 2 days a week. Sometimes if the clients are interested I give what I'm working on to them. Giving away some origami for Christmas also. Sharing my pics on this site has also been fun but wish there was more interaction. Working on a flock of sheep at the moment. Never know what will interest me next. Happy holiday!

Hi Barbara, you sound like me except I have a dog. One time I came home and she had chewed up some origami turtles I had folded! Never before or since has she ever chewed anything up. Guess she dislikes turtles.......welcome to the group.

My first few ended up in the trash....you just have to keep trying and all of a sudden it all falls into place. In videos they fold so effortlessly and it always comes out perfect. It can be frustrating but practicing it over and over are the steps to succeeding. For me all the steps from begining to end are the journey and when I get to the end what I've got seems like magic. I am surprised that someone has designed it and grateful that they choose to share it. I've never designed anything, only tweaked patterns a little. I'm so amazed at how the designers create their patterns. I've had 40 years of enjoyment and hope to have many more.

Penguins and trees can be found on videos posted by Origami one on Dec 13. The white trees can be found at origami-resource-center.com under the heading of christmas trees. The polar bear was just a quick adaption of a brown bear by John Montroll. The smallest penguin was from a 1 1/2 inch square. It was fun to see how small I could get him. Now I have a little herd of 1 inch penguins! They are so cute!

That's funny how you thought of valley and mountain folds. We knew the mt folds with the dot and dash as someone being up so high that they were gasping for air and the valley with all steady dots as someone who can breath normally because they would have plenty of oxygen at a lower level. Wierd how we associate different ideas to help us remember.

I just googled it and it pops right up. If I use Google chrome it says it's for sale so just use Google and you will be able to access the directions. Don't understand why it works that way, but it does

Hi, I assume you want origami scenes. Check out Origamiresourcecenter.com of you want nativity scenes then Google origami nativity and click on images. There are not a large number that offer instructions but maybe you can find one that does. Also check out YouTube. Good luck

It took me several tries before I got it to look like I wanted it. Don't be discouraged, just throw that sucker in the trash and give it another try! Videos are so infuriating because they just fold so effortlessly, I always have to work at it before I finally get it to look correct. Just keep trying!

Hello, do you mean folding the pages of an existing book into a shape or making a little origami book? Either way you will find both types on YouTube. I think at one time I saw existing books on line and in my local book store that had the pages marked so you could fold each one where indicated and you would end up with a design. Good luck.
